Naff Riah

Hi,
I'm Naff....Riah. I used to be Smart Tartan on the old ezboard but I wasn't exactly a heavy poster (work and all that - the usual excuses). I mostly posted in the "what are you doing now" thread mentioning interesting things like "tying my shoelaces", "eating an apple", "looking out the window". As you can see, I'm a complete WOW at parties :)
I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1970 and grew up through the 70's watching what, on reflection, was a golden era of British comedy. I loved it. AYBS, The Good Life, Dad's Army, Morecombe and Wise, Porridge, etc. There were some fantastic script writing duos at that time who had cut their teeth writing comedy scripts for the radio. What I loved about all those programmes was how accessible they were to me as a child. I didn't get all the innuendo but I knew that Mrs Slocombe's pussy references were funny, not just because the audience were laughing but because "pussy" is such a silly word to a kid's ears. And now I get to watch all those episodes again with my smutty adult ears on and end up laughing for lots of new reasons :)
Anyway, it's nice that we all share a similar sense of humour and one of the best things I get out of forum chat is a good laugh. I hope we all have a good laugh together sometime.
Have and nice day!
PS: A drink for the first person who can name the AYBS episode where Captain Peacock says "Naff Riah". This reminds me, I must find out myself.
