I just found out that I'm going to be a Great-Grandmother next year!

Looks like 2006 will be a big year ....my oldest child turns 50! Her oldest, at 23, will have her first baby making my oldest child a Grandmother at 50 and me a GREAT-GRANDMOTHER!!! (age :shrug: undisclosed)

Oh Thank You Tiddles!!! I don't know that it has sunk in completely, but I am excited. I may dig out that Key Lime Pie in the freezer....after all, I don't have to watch my weight for this. :)

Thank goodness I didn't have to do that!!! All my kids had their own kids. This is the first one of those grandkids to start their own generation ...giving me the new and improved Great-Grandmother title. :)

Now with this exciting bit of news, I can't even be depressed that my daughter's turning 50 .... (it's just harder to lie about your age when your kid is 50 already...) :lol2:

I remember when I was turning 40, I said to the kids....just let me turn 40 ~ don't have me be a grandmother before I am 40... and someone please give me a Bentwood Rocker for my Birthday. :)

I got the first 2 wishes, but had to buy my own rocker...and assemble it as well! :lol2:

I'm looking forward to the Great-Grandmother thing. A whole new ball-game.

It's going to be a while before I have great-grandkids...my son is only 6 months old :) He's a hell of a flirt though--he charms all the ladies.

And don't feel bad about posting pics...in fact, I'll even start a special thread just for baby/grandbaby pics that people can post in (and if anyone doesn't want to see baby pics, they don't have to look in the thread :P )

I've always worried a bit about people posting all over the place with their kids huge pictures in their forum siggys. (Guess it's the worry-wart part of the Grandmother system that does that.)

I can understand your concern--I worry about posting my spawn's pics too.

Sure, we can set up forums so they are members-only. If we're going to be posting pics in Chit-Chat, that's probably what we should do to the place so people feel more comfortable, or create a picture forum for members to post pics of themselves, kids, pets, pics of them with AYBS cast members :D

Let me check into a few things first and I'll update you all.
