What's your favorite Mr. Harmon line or episode/character?

;) Not being picky but his name is Harman.

Here are mine!

I like to get out of bed before Mrs. Harmon wakes. She don't look her best first thing in the mornin'. Come to think of it, she don't look so hot last thing at night, either." -- Mrs. Slocombe Expects :lavinia:

Here we have some stimulated grass...." -- Memories are Made of This

"Excuse me not knockin', Mr. Grace, but you don't hear me when I do, so I didn't think it was worth the time and effort that I did, so I didn't." -- Is It Catching?

"Pull your skirt down you're getting to be a big girl..." --Fire Practice

OK let me get this straight Tiddles, You are saying Mr. Harman likes to get out of bed before Mrs. Harmon? I always thought it was Young Mr. Grace and Captain Peacock who were up to hanky panky 8--P

One of my faves too!

I also thought he was funny as Pa Gumby, though not quite as funny as Italian Tony (with his fan) or Ma Gumby (with her "come down and see me")

And when he is unveiling the mannequin based on Mrs Slocombe and says they didn't add as many wrinkles (as she had) because they wouldn't pay the overtime... that cracked me up:cheeky:

Though most of the time, I can barely understand him well enough to know if he's being funny. I only recently noticed he "mis-speaks" alot because I couldn't really even catch what he said, much less know it was incorrect. :D

Not a big Harman fan here but my favorite thing from Harman isn't a verbal thing but a visual. When Peacock walks out of the lift in "The Old Order Changes" with his hippy outfit on, Harman looks at the camera and that look he gives is priceless !!!

How could I forget another favorite! The evil smile he gives as he's shutting the door in "Is it Catching" is just too funny!

That's one of my favorite AYBS? moments bar none. That and when he tells them prior to that that the food will be "Narrah....(narrow) but nourishing!" And then he supplies curry and prunes.:D I've always said that was the one scene where Harman finally is able to get back at the staff in the worst way!

Another funny bit:

:harman01: "There is only one person what can tell me to get out of this office, and until that person tells me to get out of this office, in this office, I shall stay!"

"Harman, get out!" :rumbhead:

If this was Star Trek, I could leave this in the basement, it would dissolve in a lot of lights and pop in up ere. But as Grace Bros is only sophisticated enough for me to use a barrow...

My fav cuz it crosses over to ST:harman01:

I think Arthur English was a very good comedy actor. He made a lot of weakish material really didn't he. That evil grin for example...

"I couldn't help overhearing your conversation, seeing as I've been listening to every word.":harman01:

Personally, I like the episode in which Mrs. Slocombe sneaks the expectant Tiddles into the fitting room. Mr. Harman hides her in a coffee urn which he says is "bunged up with sentiment." I know people like that. :-)

Liked that as well as where he messed up his lines a bit in the same episode-"Fire Practice".
