My dad passed away in 1988. Father's Day is kind of a melancholy day for me every year. I did get out some of my "Dragnet" videos and watched them; I remember watching that show with my dad when I was a little girl, so I always think of him whenever I watch it.

I spent all day with my dad yesterday watching movies. He's 62 but his job keeps him physically fit. :D In fact, he's in better shape than me. :(

Do you mean in real life or on the show Greg? I know that not one of the ones who were married, ie., Rumbold, Grainger (and some of the following seniors), Peacock, and if you count main-tain-ance, Harmon & Mash, ever mentioned kids.

I haven't talked to my father in 26 yrs. so I couldn't care less. Same with my son. I raised him on my own.

I am sure, however, that there are some great dads out there. I hope YOU had a Happy Fathers Day!

On the show... no one had any kids !!! As strange as it seems, I just noticed that when I first posted this thread.
Wolf Fire about not talking to your Dad for 26 years, it seems that you and I are in the same boat with that one.

Yes people....hug your Dads on Sunday. My Dad passed on 15 years ago Sept. 28th and I still think of him every day. Now my mother is battling advanced cancer, and life is very difficult indeed with an ill parent. These holidays can be joyful and sad. Enjoy all the good times!!
