we've all referenced episodes as not being in our top ten so i figured, lets all list our top ten episodes.

here's mine
1. Camping In
2. German Week
3. The Clock
4. The Hold Up
5. Mrs. Slocombe Senior Person

7. Hurrah for the Holidays
8. Goodbye Mr. Grainger

theres mine, now what are all of yours (i am prepared for an indepth analysis from greg that will probably take me twenty minutes to read, but oh well :D ) and i would of course be more than happy to provide the reasons behind my choices if anyone asks, but i just figured i'd list now and answer questions later

Don't be surprised if dear old Ernest features heavily in my top 10.

Number 1. Takeover (Sir Richard Ryan and his wig/toupee)
2. The Clock
3. Forward Mr Grainger
4. It pays to advertise (Mollie gets my vote for this one, but Ernest IS Henry the lovable old bartender)
5. Goodbye Mr Grainger (we lost Arthur Brough so soon after)
6. Camping In (The Churchill impression)
7. A Change is as Good as a Rest
8. Up Captain Peacock (Ernest's reaction to Peacock's promotion)
9. The Hand of Fate
10. The Think Tank

Lots of debate, but these are my favourite episodes.

yes i can count and i don't mind you going over the number, its tough to decide between certain eppy's sometimes and you have to list them all that you really like. and i have to say looking over all your lists (especially greg's because its so different from mine) that some really good eppy's didn't make my top ten. all the episodes listed by everyone are great, and boy do ten slots fill up fast :D

It's funny because my Top Ten list will change depending on the mood I'm in when you ask me.... One thing is certain... almost 99.9% of the time, the eppys will be from the first 5 Seasons.

the grainger years were truly the best, and 7 of my eps are from those years. the reasons that i like the other eppys are because of particuclar thing. i love slocombe as mad ma gumby in "the hold up" and humphries as italian tony. mrs.slocombe is a hoot again in "erotic dreams" as well as "goodbye mrs. slocombe"(bang it into the crack!!)

The only ones that I have ever considered as my # 1's ..... The Apartment, Happy Returns, and the same one for over 10 years now ..."A Change Is As Good As A Rest"...

well, i wanna nuke my list since i left a change is as good as a rest off of it, which was a blatant crime on my part as that is a top 3 eppy for me. that list i made i consider junk now. anyway, just had to drugde this thing up didn't you :lol: :lol:
